Terms of sale
These terms cover every order placed at this store. Placing one means you accept them. They are written to be read, so they are short and they say what actually happens.
Who you are buying from, and how to reach us
The store trades as BuxAPI Merch. Everything about an order is handled in our Discord server, which is the only support route there is. There is no email address anywhere in this system, so there is nothing else to write to. Bring your order number and someone picks it up.
Your account is a number, and we cannot get it back for you
Creating an account gives you sixteen digits. Those digits are the entire login. There is no email address on the account, and nothing to fall back on if you lose it: no password, security question or recovery form, because the number itself is never stored. We keep a keyed hash of it and nothing else.
Read the consequence twice, because it is the single most important thing on this page. Lose the digits and you lose the account, the store balance sitting on it, and the record of every order placed with it. We cannot look it up, send it to you, or confirm that an account was yours. Support cannot make an exception, since the information needed to make one does not exist on our side. In the other direction, whoever holds your number holds the account and can spend the balance on it.
So write it down before you put money on it. A password manager, or paper somewhere you will still have in a year. Treat it like cash, because it behaves like cash.
What we sell, and what a price covers
Four things: a mug at $14.99, a t-shirt at $24.99, a cap at $29.99 and a sticker at $4.99. Prices are in US dollars. The total at checkout is the items in your cart added together, with nothing added for shipping or handling.
Import duty and local sales tax on the way into your country sit outside that total. Your customs authority charges them on delivery and they are yours to pay. There is more about this on shipping and delivery.
Nothing is held in stock here. Each item is printed for your order by our print provider, Printful, and shipped by them directly to you. The photos on the product pages are the provider's mockups: the print position is accurate, while the exact shade of a garment or the finish on a ceramic can shift a little between production runs.
The t-shirt is the only item with a choice to make, and you make it on the product page: sizes S through 2XL. The cap is one size with an adjustable strap, and the mug and the sticker come one way. The size you picked is printed on the order, so it is worth a glance before you pay.
Placing an order
Checkout asks for a name, street, city, state or region, postal code and country. Two fields are optional: a phone number, which couriers ask for on international parcels, and a note for the printer.
Your address is handed to the print provider exactly as you typed it. We do not correct spelling, expand abbreviations or invent a missing apartment number, so a typo travels all the way to the parcel.
When something about an order is unclear, we hit a wall of our own making: there is no email address in this system, so we have no way to reach you. The order waits. Check its page when you log back in, and if it has not moved, ask in our Discord with the order number.
Paying
There are two routes, and both end in crypto.
- From your store balance
- You topped the balance up earlier by sending crypto to an address issued to your account. The store debits its own ledger and the order is paid instantly.
- With a one-off invoice
- The store creates an invoice for the order total through BuxAPI and sends you to its checkout page. The quote there is locked for a short window and includes the network fee, so the amount shown is the amount to send. When the payment confirms, the order flips to paid on its own.
Crypto payments are final. No card network sits behind them, which means there is no chargeback, no reversal, and nobody who can pull a payment back on your behalf. Once a payment confirms on chain it has left your wallet permanently. Anything that goes wrong after that is handled through refunds and returns, as store credit.
Three things can go sideways on an invoice, and each has a fixed outcome:
- Not enough arrives before the invoice expires. The order moves to "needs a look" and a person picks it up. We either complete it or credit what arrived to your balance.
- Too much arrives. The order is marked paid. The surplus is not credited automatically, so write to us with the order number and we will put the difference on your balance.
- Nothing arrives and the invoice expires. The order is cancelled and you were never charged. Add the items again whenever you like.
What each order status means
- awaiting payment, the order exists and no money has arrived yet.
- paid, we have the money and the order is queued for the printer.
- needs a look, the payment was odd in some way and a person is on it.
- shipped, the parcel has left the printer, and a tracking number is on the order page when the carrier gave us one.
- cancelled, the order is dead, either because an invoice expired or because we cancelled it for one of the reasons below.
Because there is no email in the system, none of these changes are announced to you. You see them by logging back in with your number and opening the order.
Your store balance
A top-up is converted to US dollars at the rate when the deposit confirms, less the network fee the chain charges, and the result is added to your balance in cents. Small deposits can be worth less than the fee to move them, in which case they wait for cheaper conditions.
The balance is store credit. It buys things here and it does nothing else. There is no way to send it back to a wallet, both because the store has no payout function and because we have no verified address of yours to send it to. It earns no interest, it is not a deposit account, and no deposit protection scheme covers it. Top up roughly what you plan to spend.
When we cancel an order
We may cancel and credit what you paid to your balance when:
- the print provider drops an item or cannot produce it;
- the price shown was wrong by an obvious margin;
- the address cannot be shipped to, or the parcel comes back undeliverable;
- shipping to your country would break sanctions rules or a carrier's restrictions.
The limits of what we promise
We sell printed goods and we stand behind the printing. Our liability for any order is capped at what you paid for that order. Outside that, we are not liable for a lost account number, for chain fees, for a payment sent from a wallet to the wrong address, or for delays once a parcel is with a carrier or a customs office.
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and in any case at least eighteen.
Law, and changes to these terms
If you buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in apply to your order, and nothing on this page reduces them. That is the part that actually binds, so it is the part written here.
We update this page when the store changes. The version in force on the day you place an order is the version that governs it, so the date at the bottom is worth a glance before a large order.
